Francesco Balsano, renowned sports massage therapist and founder of Zentrum des Wohlbefindens (Centre of Wellbeing) in Basel, Switzerland, has given an exclusive interview sharing insights from his extraordinary 35-year career in physiotherapy and sports massage.
Balsano has worked at international events including bike races in Seoul, the Basel City Run, and the Three Countries Run. He has served as official masseur for football teams competing against top Swiss clubs including FC Zürich, FC Lugano, FC Servette and Lausanne Sport in the Swiss Cup.
His Basel practice offers sports massage, cupping therapy, foot reflexology, trigger point treatments and sports products. Balsano currently serves approximately 250 clients per month at accessible price points, with health insurance cooperation and Fitpass availability.
Looking ahead, Balsano plans to launch the WSEF association «Liegen Stützen» and attempt a world record: massaging 155 people in 24 hours.
